Somewhere in my cranium I remember a post regarding the cyclops and magnification through the years. I recently acquired this lovely 1675 with 1.9 million serial. The magnification is a bit less than many 1675s posted. Hands and bezel have been replaced but movement looks good. Happy with the watch but the magnification has my WIS brain intrigued?

So the how has the cyclops evolved through the years?

It's possible that the crystal has been excessively polished over the years, therefore diminishing the 2.5x magnification. But all looks good otherwise.
