I have a 1.3 Gilt 1675 and the lume plots have held up well, just very slight "cratering" on a couple of plots. Is there any known procedure that will stabilize the plots so they do not further degrade? I have done searches and have read where lume on hands have been stabilized, but found nothing regarding plots.
They are sealed from the rear of the hands...Several watch makers can do it but I would be careful who I let touch mine. I've heard of everything from clear nail polish to epoxy being used to stabilize. I know a few people who have had it done with no issues.
However, I worry about the long term effect of the color of my hands...Who knows how they will look in 15-20 years.
