hi all,

A local collector wants to sell these datejusts, this White roman or Buckley dial 1601 really caught my eye. The asking price isnt above the sky but anything specific to be aware for vintage Datejust in particular as I absolutely have no past experience with them. The lume plots looks pretty nice too. Is this dial configuration underrated at the moment and in which price range?

Can I ask for opinions on this piece?

Thank you everyone

most important are the hands

as with this color combo, they need to be black. And they are.
Apart from that it all a matter of taste.
Some like the Buckley dials, some don't. So they are not that much more valuable. Everything sells except champagne-color.

It remains to be seen if 1601's are really collectable and still increasing in value.
5 years ago at 1500 euro I would say yes, but today at 2250-2500 euro I am not so sure.
What is he asking?

Thanks for your input, Yes I take that as this dial variation is just uncommon but not higher value compared to the sigma dial. Anything to comment about the case condition, I can arrange a meet up to check the movement and serial.
Asking price is 2k usd firm.
