Susan Kay's Phantom - new website

July 21 2008 at 5:56 PM

Phantom phans, particularly those who enjoyed (and like me still enjoy) Susan Kay's book "Phantom", will want to check out Susan Kay's Phantom. I haven't explored the entire site yet, but it has a forum where talk revolves around the book. Happily it seems to attract that part of Phandom which bristles at the misguided concept of an Erik who, if not for a minor defect to part of his face, might have been found showing off his handsome physique poolside at the Ritz.

XOXO, Mez

Dear Mez,
thank you for the link!
I don't remember how many times I have read this book in German.
A couple of weeks ago I have found it in English and reading it
I realized that many details are missing in the German book.
I always thought how wonderful it would be to make a movie about
this great story.

A movie would be great, but a mini-series would be even better. A mini-series can run an hour or two each night for several nights -- far longer than a film could devote to the book.

What kind of details are missing from the German version of the book?

a mini - series would be great!

It is difficult to write details, because it's all over the
book. But the first chapter ended completely different, in all
the German book is about 60-100 pages shorter. This is incredible!
Would like to know why.
