Hello--

For sale or trade is a 1965 5513 with the original gilt dial. It's beautiful and I've enjoyed owing it but time to part. Some details below:

Case number 1,32X,XXX

Original gilt dial in good condition for its age that has a really nice wrist presence due to the nice gilt lettering and rich black background. The 1:00 and 2:00 markers have lost most of their lume, and there are other usual signs of aging that can be seen in pictures.

The hands are original Rolex with the Tritium lume slightly lighter than the markers on the dial. The minute hand has some repair to the lume.

The case has been previously polished but has very nice thick lugs. The reference and serial numbers clearly legible

Has a TRIPLOCK crown and tube.

The original caseback is in excellent condition and reads "IV 65"

The original 1520 movement is running very strong and keeping very accurate time but I don't know its specific service history and thus provide no mechanical warranty

Has a nicely faded Fat Font insert with pearl

Asking $7,500 net OBRO (wire or PayPal plus fees) and open to proposals for full or partial Rolex trades, modern or vintage.

Welcome face-to-face transactions in the Washington, DC area. For trades, I will send this watch only after receiving and inspecting the proposed watch for trade and verifying its authenticity/validity (exceptions made for well established dealers).

Please email with any questions or for additional pictures. Happy to provide references, as helpful. Full refund if not as described upon receipt of the watch in identical condition (3 day inspection/notification of return, 7 day return), less any shipping and/or bank fees. US-based transactions only, sorry.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Best,
Paul
