FS: 5513 tropical gilt

Gentlemen,

for sale is a beautiful 5513 with original gilt dial which has turned to a rich deep brown colour. Dial shows a very fine uniform and homogenous spotting throughout, but has a fantastic presence and a very nice colour. Tritium has a beautiful patina and the hands match the dial perfectly. Lume on 7:00 and 8:00 markers shows some minor defects as can be seen on the pics; all other indices are perfectly intact, as is tritium of the hands. Case is very fat with sharp lugholes and the original bevels still visible. There is a hallmark on the left upper lug which I cannot explain, but it is clearly not a defect. Original twinlock crown, original old-style bezel ring with a beautifully faded fat font insert. Serial number 1267XXX from 1965; both serial number and reference number are clearly visible without a loupe. Caseback stamped 5513 and III/65.

Price is 9500 EUR head only or 10400 EUR with a very good period-correct 7206 rivet bracelet with 80 endlinks.
