Negative comments about starch blockers

I've been investigating starch blockers on various websites and blogs. Some of these people mention studies that found that starch blockers don't block starch. The comments also mention various side effects of starch blockers such as bloating and cramps. Since I haven't experienced cramps and had one occurrence of discomfort in the three weeks I am taking Phase 2 twice or more daily, it makes me wonder if these critics have ever taken a starch blocker or are just repeating the negative comments they read elsewhere.
