Phase 2 doesn't work on Sugars & Milk right? But most breads & pastas are made with milk and sugar.......... So what's the point of taking these "Carb Blockers"....

Just stick with Lean cuts of meat and simple veggies. Plus lots of water!

Starch

Bread is not principally milk and sugar! Isn't that a milkshake you're thinking of? In reality bread is made from grain, most often wheat, and is therefore VERY HIGH in STARCH. Likewise pasta, the other thing you mentioned, another good example of something that is VERY HIGH in STARCH. Best check the food labelling!

Breads contain anywhere from 2 cups to 1 3/4 of dry milk!!! If you can't be helpful. Shut up and keep your SMARTASS remarks (milkshakes) to yourself!!!!

Milk In Bread?

You write

"Breads contain anywhere from 2 cups to 1 3/4 of dry milk!!! ".

By Federal Law all ingredients have to be on the ingredients label - for the protection of people with food allergies that cause anaphylactic shock - 5 peolple died from MSG not being on labels before the governement made this law. I have never seen "milk" on a bread label. Please inform us all what alternative term(s) bread manufacturers are using for "milk" on their bread labels.

Someone else has posted below that breads are between 45% and 60% starch.

What you say is correct, if you eat nothing but meat and simple veggies you will not need to use the starch blockers.

Isn't this just a statement of the obvious, i.e. if you don't eat starch you won't need the starch blockers.

Man cannot live on meat and simple veggies alone.

I checked out a couple of bread packages at the store after reading this thread. I didn't see dry milk listed as an ingredient.
