Could you confirm that Canadian nationals can qualify for special visas ?
Thanks.

Canadian citizens do indeed qualify for a special visa, called the TN visa – only Canadians and Mexicans can apply for this type of visa.

To qualify for a TN visa you must
(1) have a baccalaureate or licenciature degree (or appropriate qualifications) and
(2) have a job offer to work in the U.S. in a professional position.

More than 60 types of professions qualify for TN visa status, for example architects, hotel managers, librarians, teachers, and urban planners.

A TN visa is similar to an H-1B visa but is preferential for several reasons.
First, the TN visa processing for Canadians is much simpler and more expeditious than for almost any other type of visa.
Second, a TN visa can be repeatedly renewed whereas an H-1B visa generally is only valid for a maximum of 6 years.

For more information do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.
