Hi,

I'm moving to the US; my question is do I need to have a visa before leaving? Cause I want to find a job but I can't find a company to sponsor me while i'm still out of the US.I don't want to get a visitor visa since I can't work with it. What is the best way to go about it?

If you travel under the Visa Waiver Program, you do not need a visa to travel to the U.S., but, after you have found an employer willing and able to sponsor you for a work-based visa, you will have to leave the U.S. to obtain the visa.
If, however, you travel to the U.S. with a visa, you would then be eligible to apply for a change of status once you have found an employer able to sponsor you.
