I've entered the US as a visitor on Feb. 22nd 2003. I got married on July 16th 2003 to my american boyfriend. Now we wanted to file all the forms with the BCIS but my visitor status expired today July 22nd 2003. What should I do? Can I still file the paper work(I have requested them from the BCIS but haven't received them yet)? Do I have to leave the country and re-enter without letting the immigration authorities know that I got married? If I have to leave the country can I drive to a US/CAN boarder and do a U-turn to re-enter as a visitor and then file for the paper work right after?

Please help me;

As the spouse of a US citizen, it is possible to file your application for residency even though you are now out of status.
Under no circumstance should you travel back to Canada and attempt to reenter as a visitor as that would amount to fraud, which could result in the denial of your application and possibly your deportation/removal from the US.
