I am trying to help my boyfriend who is from Syria immigrate to the USA. At this time I cannot marry him, so for now that option is out. He is an experienced electrical engineer and he will have to work as I cannot support him. How can someone come here and then find a job? He has not been able to secure a position here while living overseas. Is there a "best" approach to take? He has no family here and I am his only contact, so there is no one else to help him. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
