I recently recieved my I-140 from the company that would like to hire me. The I-140 stated I was in the country and gave me an A#. The fact is that I am still in Canada [where I was born]. Should I send the I-140 back to Nebraska and ask them to fix it or should I just enter the U.S. and hope they give me an I-94 so that I can continue with my Adjustment of Status. Can INS change their mind and decline my petition because I am not in the U.S. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Byrnerules

Your situation is very unclear from your message, and I would suggest that you consult with an attorney, BEFORE TRAVELING TO THE US, to determine exactly what you need to do. Otherwise, you could be denied admission at the border.
To arrange for a consultation, please contact my office directly either by telephone or e-mail.
