My Name is Sajjad Ahmed and I am from Pakistan. My immigrant visa petition is under process in National Visa Center (NVC). My family name is “Ansari” which is not written in my Passport and but it is written in the immigrant visa petition and approval notice for USA (because of the importance of family name in USA).

I do not know what to do? Will it affect my case when I come for interview at the US Embassy?

Moreover, my family name is not written in all my documents, birth certificate, college certificates and degrees from Pakistan.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

There shouldn't be a problem with your application, but all the same you should be prepared to explain the "discrepancy" and provide appropriate documentation, if asked by the embassy at your interview.
