Hello!

I hope somebody can share her/his opinions or personal experience regarding the application process for the J-1 visa waiver throug the No Objection letter.
I am currently working in the U.S. as a visiting teacher from Spain. My visa expires in June 2006, but my girlfriend (she is an American citizen) and I are planning on getting married next summer and move from Memphis where we live now, to San Diego or Chicago next summer since she is going to begin a Masters program in one of those two cities. I have already applied for the waiver of the 2 year rule based on a No Objection letter. We have been told that Spain routinely concedes the No Objection letter and that the U.S. almos always grants the waiver, but since we are moving I will break my contrat with my sponsor, and we don't know if that will affect our plans even if I get the waiver after I break my contract, or whether after I am granted the waiver but I am not under a J1 visa anymore I will be still authorized to live in the U.S. and not return to Spain from 2 years.

Thank you very much in advance!
