I am writing concerning my status. I have been married to a US citizen since The 5th of June,1998.

My wife filed the I-130 immigrant petition for relative and it was approved the 13th of September,1999 at the INS local field at Milwaukee.

Since I was in deportation Proceeding because overstaying a visitor visa,

The judge of the immigration at Chicago granted my application for adjustment of status under 245/216 of the INA, the 29th of December,1999 and the matter of deportation was closed.

My fingerprints were taken at the INS office of Milwaukee in the month of February 2000, and since then, I never received any reply from that office.

I travelled to Morocco with I-551 visa on august 2000 and the immigration officier let me inn to the US with out Probleme.
I did travelled one again to Morocco because my mother was very sick, and I made a mistake by not applying for an extension of my I-551 before my flight..
Once in Morocco, I did applied for « boarding letter or transportation letter » form I-91 at the US consulate at Casablanca but it was refused by the INS. The reason was as I was told by the INS office, is that I didn’t continue the process of the adjustment of my status.

Since we didn’t get any response from the BCIS sub office at Milwaukee about my case and the possibility to transfer it to the US consulate in Casablanca Morocco. My wife went und applied a “ k 3 Visa “ for me at approved August 18,2004..
I had interview at 11/02/2004..once there at consulat the officer let me know that i need a to file for“I-601 Application for Waiver of Grounds of Excludability.
i did file for a waiver at the 03/04/2005 and since then I never heard from the consulat..I'm wondering how long is going a take to get a anwser for this waiver..

Your help and consideration regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Best regards
