Hi,
my mum and grandmum are born in switzerland but also have an american passport. Is it easier for me(21) to immigrate to the USA? What do I have to do? Am I too old?

US Citizenship or an Immigrant Visa

The good news is that you may already be a US citizen! Making such a determination depends on several factors, most importantly (1) if your parents were married at the time of your birth, and (2) the amount of time that your mother actually resided in the US. If you do qualify for automatic acquisition of US citizenship, you’ll be able to obtain a US passport and settle immediately in the US.

If you don’t qualify for citizenship, your mother can still sponsor you for an immigrant visa (i.e., a green card), but the process will take MUCH longer: 5 years if you are single or more than 8 years if you are married.
