Hello,

I am currently living and working in the US under an L-1B visa (employee transfer).
Does anyone know if this visa allows me to work for a different employer in the US, after resigning from my current employer? or is my visa tied up to the company which transferred me here?
Thank you.

Like all temporary work visas, your L-1B visa is tied specifically to the company that sponsored you. To change employers, you’ll need to be sponsored by the new employer.

If you’ll be applying for an H-1B visa, you’ll need to submit that application as soon as possible as it is likely that the H-1B quota will be reached at some time between June and August.
