Direct Consular Filing in France

I'm in the US, he's in France. We're thinking of doing Direct Consular Filing as the fastest way to get him here. It appears that this is possible in France. Is the fact that I don't currently reside there an issue? (I would go there to get married and do the DCF.) Any other possible pitfalls? Thanks

Paris does indeed permit DCF for non-resident US citizen spouses. It’s one of the rare posts to allow it, and the Embassy personnel are a pleasure to deal with. It’s the path I chose for my French clients, and they’re always VERY pleased with the results.
