I-130 Petition for Your Wife

You can file an I-130 petition for your wife now, but as the spouse of a permanent resident, it will take approximately 5 years for her to move on to the 2nd step, which is applying for her green card itself. If and when you become a US citizen (which you’ll be eligible to apply for in 2009), your wife will then be able to apply for her green card right away as the spouse of a US citizen.

For more information on the application process, visit our website at:

http://www.immigration-aux-usa.com/family_based_visas.html

Our fee for filing an I-130 petition is $400. The USCIS fee is $190.

If you’d like to further discuss your case with me, please contact me by e-mail at E.Weiner@immigration-aux-usa.com or my office at (617) 889-0215.
