Confusion with my immigrant visa

Hello! I hope you can help me to find the answers to my questions. I'm married to a US citizen and plan to move to the States next month. After my immigration interview I was issued an immigrant visa (great!) but the confusing part is that I was still under the 3 year entry ban for another 7 months! I had overstayed in US for 10 months before and left US voluntarily in the September of 2004, so I assume that the 3 year entry ban isn't over until September of 2007, yet I have visa in my pasession already without even filing for a waiver!
How is this possible?
Did they issue my visa by mistake?
Am i gonna have any problems entering the US now?
How do you count the 3 year period anyways?
I'm really concerned about this. Thank you in advance!

3-Year Unlawful Presence Bar

It seems that the Embassy made a mistake, and you could actually be denied admission when you arrive in the US. The 3-year bar starts on the date of your departure from the US, and you need to spend 3 years outside of the country BEFORE applying for a visa.

You need to resolve your issue BEFORE traveling to the US. If you would like me to review your case, you can contact me directly by e-mail at E.Weiner@immigration-aux-usa.com or my office by phone at + 1 617 889 0215.
