Hi,

Please I want to have information about the immigration form I-864. I'm married with a US citizen since 2006.My husband want to file for adjustment of status for me. But he doesn't work. We have sponsors so we want to know if he should file I-864 and the sponsors I-864A.Or only the sponsors should file for us I-864A. He doesn't have federal tax for the 3 recent years( only for 2002 and 2003).
I came in usa with B1 Visa and because i was still going to school in anotner country we don't file before. So all the time I come and go back to this country. Now I want to stay in USA.
Please can you tell us , what we should do. Thank you.
Have a nice Day

As your sponsor, your husband has to file an I-864, even if you have a joint sponsor who will file an I-864A. If your husband was required to file taxes for the past 3 years, he’ll have to file back taxes.
