getting married

Hello I'm new and need some advice. I'm getting married in Nov08 to a girl who is a LPR in texas,we are getting married in Mexico and plan to live at hers afterwards. We were told that i could apply while living together in the states is this true, how long would it take and what would the fees of getting it done for us be ? Thanks for your help

Marriage to an LPR

Marriage to an LPR unfortunately does not allow you to live in the US, and it will take at least 5 years (or until your future wife becomes a US citizen) to get a green card based on your marriage.

In the interim, your options will be very limited, and you’ll only be able to apply for certain types of work visas (such as an L visa, an O visa).
