Hello, Karen, or anyone who'd like to advise me,
I have similar hair color to your older pictures(light ash?) though mixed with white because I'm 40.
I loved my hair sunstreaked, but for years I hid my hair under a hat and got chemical hilights. Finally they ruined my hair and I cut it off. I'm growing it out again, it is only 5 inches long! Your hair sunstreaked is more beautiful than mine ever was with chemical streaks.
Can you think of anything you do that helps give your hair its beautiful color? Do you ever use lemon or chamomile? Do you make it a point to wear things like visors or headbands instead of hats so that your hair gets sun? Is your hair exposed to the sun all day?
I assume in winter your hair grows in dark at the roots. Do you have white hairs up there, in winter, contrasting with the dark? Do you have a plan for the day when your hair starts to be oviously gray? I know that like me, you are anti dye.
