Response to Re: I totally get you!
Judging that someone's particular FSH is not high enough to post on this board seems like a terrible idea and quite rude. Yes, those of us in the know realize that an 11.3 is not high, but PLENTY of REs and OBs would be counseling doom and gloom and donor eggs at that point. When you hear that it doesn't matter what the number is; the experience is awful and you need help and support!
My first FSH was 20 . . . while that is high, maybe I shouldn't have been "allowed" to post here because I was also 36, had a strong AMH and a good AFC. But thank goodness that I was! The amazing women lifted me out of a deep depression and inspired me to go on. After three years of complete crap, four REs in four states, trying every holistic remedy under the sun, and hearing DE from two REs (including one from the high FSH friendly doctor list) I finally found success--and I give the majority of the credit to the women on this board who were generous enough to help me, even if they themselves had not found success.
To me this board is for everyone struggling with the devastation that a high FSH diagnosis can bring. If some people only want to be with others who can relate to their exact situation, then maybe a new page for such people is a good idea. Until then, the rest of us will hopefully be here encouraging new people and sharing information with them.
