So I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, but maybe you should look for a new RE. If I recall correctly from a couple of your other posts you've had other issues feeling put off by the nurses. I only suggest this because this whole process is so stressful and emotional that you don't need any additional stress battling with your Dr. and nurses.
I don't think he should put you off just to calm down. As far as his comment about trying a couple of IVF's to "find out" or something like that, my assumption is that he's referring to see how well you respond. Many RE's have guidelines about how many mature follicles you need to proceed to retrieval- you may want to ask about this if you haven't already.
I know how it feels to want this to happen NOW and not want to take the time to find a new RE. But, you might find a much better fit somewhere else. Take some time and give yourself a chance to process all of this. I know it's overwhelming:(
