Really too many things to respond to in this post! But I'll take a stab at one. Feeling like I am back in high school anyone? "least likely to succeed?" Really? Perhaps, Dr. Givens, you are "least likely doctor to treat me."
I'm sure Derek Redmond did not heed the indicated inaccurate words of wisdom. True the "race" may not go as you anticipated, and the outcome may be different than what you thought. But I feel that to define "success" in such limited terms is just a shame. Too bad we can't leave quotes for Dr. Givens. It bothers me that other women in my shoes will take this woman's post as sage advice.
