| I had a similar situation with paying out of pocket, I had a call back with Dr. Check and he said we could use a different diagnostic code. I also spoke with Dr. Cohen and she noted the new diagnostic code in my chart. Each and every time I call and ask them to fax over the script to the local clinic I ask them to put the xxx code on the fax. Another option would be to have Cooper fax the script to you and you can fax directly to the local clinic ensuring the correct code is used.
If you cant get a call back with Dr. Check you could also schedule a phone consult with another doctor for $100.00. I spoke with Dr. Cohen and she was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions, best money I have spent in a long time. After that consult I felt like I had a clear plan on what we were doing and everyone at Cooper was on the same page with it. Prior to that, I sometimes felt like one nurse had one thing in mind while another nurse was proceeding down a different path.
