maybe it's not the effects of hormones

but instead the effect of bedrest? Maybe the bedrest is causing fluid to pool in your extremeties?

I've never heard/seen any posts on this type of side effect from anyone on here.

Do you have poor circulation normally? I would call the RE and ask them for comment on this. It doesn't sound normal and certainly sounds serious.
