I know this is a relatively old thread, but I wanted to post my experience at CCRM. I am 33 and my highest FSH has been 12.3 (I'm waiting for my most recent test results). I've had three IVF cycles in Los Angeles. The first resulted in a D&E at 16 weeks (trisomy) the second IVF D&C at 7 weeks (another trisomy) and the third with PGD/CGH - a chemical. My local doctor at Southern California Reproductive Center (SCRC ) recommended donor eggs.
I sent all my records to CCRM and had a phone consult. The RE was extremely nice and told me that he did not feel I should move on to donor eggs yet and that a high FSH lowers my chances of success, but would not prevent me from cycling there. I asked him point blank if I came all the way for a ODWU and my fsh was higher than 12 would that prevent me from cycling there and he said "no, unless your AFC has dropped to four or something like that."
I had my ODWU and they did not ask me do the clomophene challenge test. I signed all the forms and paid my deposit. I think they may have changed their attitude about FSH, or it's based on an individual situation. Maybe different docs there are also more FSH friendly.
