My mom found this prayer a while back and it is so dear to me, I hope you like it too.
Love Ascending
Heaven is not our due
And never was,
But by Gods courtesy
We slip into that joy
By clinging to the coat tails of our Christ.
Sky-wide and radiant, they trail
Behind Incarnate Love ascending.
Trembling, we hold fast, and look!
In humble mimicry
The little creatures that we loved on earth --
Birds, dogs and cats and all
Fasten themselves to our long garments, too,
And rise with us, dear God, to life with You!
