Hi! I just noticed now that your op was from yesterday! I thought it was today and you were going in tomorrow (saturday)...!
I am so glad you are triggering tonight and the follicle didn't grow too large. I hope this makes you feel less anxious. If I remember correctly, you were doing high-stim IVFs before? At least I think you were? hopefully the mini-stim approach is all you need to get a better quality embryo. I felt so bad for you last time since you really didn't get to "see" if mini-stim helped the quality you since you had the big follicle with the dead egg. i've seen girls on other boards as well who had much better success with mini-stim at Co..ooper or elsewhere; even though they got only 1-2 eggs, they produced better embryos and had success. I really really hope this works for you. I feel very much like you and totally understand wanting to throw in the towel...I am almost there, if not there yet but trying to make the most of our last insurance money left.
If this helps to inspire you somewhat, I did IVF #2 last month (I didn't post about it because frankly I was just kind of exhausted and didn't have much hope), and i was dreading the same result as IVF#1 (which was 1 egg with empty follicle and they converted to IUI=BFN). for IVF #2 , by some miracle I had 2 follicles(22 and 23), but one was "empty" (the 23mm) and guess what...the 22mm was totally IMMATURE. WHAT??? That immature egg ended up maturing, fertilizing and turning into a 7 cell embryo w/ zero fragmentation on day 3...so something must have worked. Unfortunately it was BFN, but just having that healthy embryo gave me some hope. So I hope you also get some hope from this cycle. I wish you the best, I hope to see more updates from you!
