Response to Mrs McIrish

Thanks for checking on me. I was going to give a recap tomorrow after the ET but here goes. We surpringly got 3 eggs. 2 were from follies that were 13mm and 13.6mm and a 23mm. All 3 eggs fertilized. I got a call today to say that I have (2) that at 3 cells and (1) at 5 cells. Unfortunately, they are all badly fragmented. The 3 cells are a "C" and the 5 cell is a "D" (scale being A-D,with D being the worse, more than 50%). My embryos from IVF1 and 2 were also highly fragmented and we were hoping that it was from the high stims. Since this was a low stim, it looks like it didn't help and my eggs are just crappy. I am 38 with a highest recorded FSH of 24.3. I've done IVF 4 times and just don't see the point of doing this anymore. I think I am really ready to quit after seeing the quality of these embryos. I've never had one that even looked "Ok" or ever even had a c/p. We will transfer whatever we have tomorrow but I'm not expecting them to look good tomorrow and don't have any hope that they will result in a healthy pregnancy. It's just over in my opinion and I guess I will have to figure out how to live child-free. We can't afford DE or adoption.
