      For two of my m/c's I was given misoprostol only and also was told to take it vaginally. Both times were around 8 weeks and only one dose (4 pills) was needed and I did not need a D & C, as the misoprostol worked as it was supposed to. I was given 8 pills total and was told if I didn't start cramping/bleeding after the first dose, then to take the second dose a few hours later, but I didn' need to. I had no ill effects from taking the misoprostol, other than what was supposed to happen.

      I'm sorry that you are having to go through this.
