I just did a gonal-f injection and when I changed the needle from the big needle to the small needle for the injecting part I forgot to push out the excess air before I did the injection. I only noticed it when I was injecting the last little bit and I was thinking, "what's that air bubble doing in there?" But I went ahead and finished the whole shot and so I maybe injected the air.

Did I just do something dangerous? Did I inject an air bubble into my bloodstream? Now I'm totally freaking out that I am going to DIE!!!!

Help!

I've done that before and even thinking I didn't do the dose right by not setting it backwards first... it's ok!!

If you were doing an injection straight into your vein, you may be at risk of air embolus, but into a muscle is almost perfectly safe

I did the exact same thing my very first injection of Gonal-F and totally freaked out. Don't worry, it's fine.

I almost never manage to get all the small bubbles out, and haven't had an aneurysm yet, so worry not.
