Hi ladies--
I'm shaking as I type this...I just had a +HPT!!
DH and I did 2 medicated IUIs (microflare protocol and got 3 follies) in April, and I thought I had a period 9 days later. Weird, but nothing so far has been normal for us! Seemed like a period, so I made an appt to see RE to discuss moving to IVF. A couple of days ago I started having cramps and spotting--again, not normal. We met with RE today and outlined what IVF would involve. When I told him about the freaky spotting and horrific cramps, he said I needed to get b/w just in case. Of course I didn't POAS since it seemed like a period....so when I got home tonight, I finally POASed, and the second pink line came up almost right away.
RE said it could be ectopic, but that they always look for the worst case scenario. I have to wait till tomorrow for b/w numbers.
My FSH just went up too to 16.5 with the most recent test.
I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight!!

Thanks!! I'm still shaking. B/W came back at 71 and I have to go back tomorrow am for another test. But it's official!
The RE decided this time to use the same meds he would use for IVF to see if/how I would respond, and this was to be the last IUI. On the previous cycle he put me on 600 Gonal-F, and I had absolutely nothing. This time,I was on diluted lupron (10 of whatever the measurement was) in the am and pm, 300 menopur in the am and 300 Gonal F in the pm. I produced three good sized follicles and my E2 was over 700. We ended up with an IUI with frozen sample, and then bd'd to make up for not getting the second IUI in. DH sometimes can't deal with the timed/pressure issue. I felt like a giant pin cushion and loopy by the end of the meds. RE said he was pleased with the response, but would only use Lupron and Menopur if we went to IVF.
So now I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I'm excited that it seems to have worked.
