Are these labs normal? So Confused at this FSHFebruary 16 2011 at 6:47 AM | Lauren (no login) |
| Ok I'm so lost. My history- 3 weeks ago FSH day three came back at 33, AMH .29 finally remembered to ask for E2 and its only 48
Retested on day 21 AFTER clomid and FSH was only 3.0
Progesterone was 40 but I had three days of suppositories by then.
Is that drop normal?? And that estrodial number doesnt seem to correlate to my other two numbers? |

you would never test FSH on CD 21 to make a determination as to whether you have high FSH or not.
It is normal for your FSH to drop and be low in the last 2 weeks of your cycle. In the absence of pregnancy, your FSH and LH beging to rise in the latter part of your luteal phase. And it is normal for your P4 (progesterone) to be high/higher if you are supplementing.
Only look at FSH when it's tested on CD 2 or CD 3. On the other hand, progesterone values can be tested throughout the cycle to make determinations on upcoming ovulation, confirming ovulation, and of course function of corpus luteum in the luteal phase. |
