Ok... debating whether to post but I need some input. I believe I tested out the trigger shot, it was barely visible after 4 days on an IC. Tested again 7DPO and at a quick glance it was snow white... in the trash it went. Well... that got me started on POAS addiction. Last IVF cycle I decided NOT to POAS but this one I had reasons that I wanted to find out before beta (which isn't until NEXT Monday!!). Both my anniversary and Mother's Day fall on Sunday May 8th... so figured I want to either go out and get drunk on my Anniversary OR have a wonderful Mother's Day.
Yesterday was 9DPO and I POAS around 2pm.... knowing very well I'd be too early. I set it beside me and was watching TV... at first glance BFN, about a half hour later I went to throw it away when I noticed the faintest of faint pink shadow. I went to every possible light source and yup, faint 2nd shadow. Now... I KNOW, it was beyond the alloted time BUT I have done probably 100 of these IC... and have pulled them from the trash hrs after throwing away a neg strip just to "be sure".... and they have always remained snow white. I did another test around 8pm and I'd say it took between 5-10 mins before I actually saw the shadow. So that brings me to today... did IC w/ FMU and still took about 10 min to see the pink shadow. I saved that urine and ran out to the pharmacy and bought a 3 pack of FRER... used the same FMU and SNOW white BFN. About half hr ago I did an other IC (see... I am a complete addict!) and I definitely got the shadow within 5 min.
I have spent several hours googling and have seen some people say they got false positives w/ IC... especially if read beyond the alloted time. What worries me is that my shadows seem to get darker the longer they sit making me think these really could be false positives. I'm not going to do another FRER until tomorrow morning. I really wish I didn't toss out the one I did on 7DPO to see if it turned pink... that would have given me a better picture. Also, the IC I used in the past had a blue "handle" and these ones have a pink one... so although in the past they always remained snow white, these ones could be different.
I once had a faint line that turned into a full positive 24hrs later

It was a natural cycle. But sent me nuts googling etc. Good luck hopefully it is real. Mine as only about 10 dpo.
Mine ended in m/c 10 weeks later but definitely started with a maddening faint line.
Jules...I KNEW I liked you...I am also a ridiculous POAS addict. With my last pregnancy, my trigger never left and at 10DPO...12DPT, I clearly could see lines but I use very sensitive IC's..Wondfo's and OSOM's. I started getting very faint lines around 8DPO that also materialized fully after the time limit. The truth is...some just do that and are accurate still. 9DPO, I took an FRER and like you saw the faintest of lines...a line really that only a POAS could see...but I swore I saw it...I even cracked open the case to get a better look. I spent the day thinking I was nutz, but the next day...there it was again..faint...but clearly there. Which IC's do you use? Some are more reliable than others. With the FRER...the only thing you have to be careful about is that the grey test strip now often shows up making people think that they have a BFP. However, if you see even the faintest hint of pink..you could be in business. I say that the chances are good for you as you see lines on multiple tests. FX!!
My doc said that trigger is out of the system in 10 days. And it sounds like you tested out the trigger. Have you done a digital? When I had my chemical pg, my beta was 42 and I still only got a VERY faint line (even an hour before my blood draw!) And it wasn't until after the blood test came back that the digital showed a positive. Up to the day before, digital still showed negative.
Being the strange/obsessive person I am, they're all dated. The ones from 10 or so DPO are still barely visible, even after several months. For someone with my poor eyesight (I'm legally blind without contacts or glasses; can't even see colors), I sure can spot the hint of a line on a pregnancy test.
This sounds promising, Jules. I'll be checking for your update tomorrow!
It is early but I believe hcg is out of your system by now! I have heard of faint second line turning to bfp all the time. The line is faint because hcg level is low right now. I am so hopeful for you!!
