how long after transfer do most places do beta?

Seems to be different for different centers? For a 5dt, when would be a reliable time to test for beta? I would assume for a 3dt, it would be 2 days later?

Mine waits a whopping 17 days after ER

14 days from a 3dt. I think they believe this gives a better indicator of a solid beta with less risk of discovering a chemical.

you would never test for beta 2 days after a 3 day transfer. That means you'd be 5DPO and it's not possible to even register HCG at that point other than what was leftover from your trigger shot.

Most places do beta 14DPO a.k.a. 14 days past retrieval or 11 days past a 3 day transfer. For a 5 day transfer that would mean 9 days past transfer, which is the equiv of 14DPO.

Mrs.A, I think...

she meant 2 days *later than a five day transfer*, not two days after transfer. At least, that is how I read it. (But I did have to read it twice! happy.gif) That's my guess, though!

But, either way, betas are set off of day of conception, not day of transfer, I believe. I am really surprised that the RE did not say when to come back for a beta.

Good luck!
