Just had second IVF cycle, one Embie

Hi,
I don't post much, but I would appreciate it if someone would read this and give me an honest answer. happy.gif We just had our second IVF. The first one I stimmed for 21 days, it was canceled and went to IUI with a bunch of small follies and one that reached 16.5, BFN. This time I stimmed for 15 days and only got one 16mm follie. They were able to retrieve it and it fertilized. They put it back yesterday in a 2day transfer. It's a grade three: two celled with 10-30% fragmentation. We went ahead with the retrieval for closure even though our chances are low. I didn't really read up on embryo grading until now. It's bad news right? I got my hopes up a little bit until I read the embryo really doesn't have much of a chance....

Hi,

I came across this old post a few weeks ago, and thought I'd share it with you. I thought it was amazing.

Don't lose hope, I know there are others here that have had success with "less than perfect" embryos. I wish you the best of luck!

you never know..

I have had (2) 2dt's of poorly graded embryos. Mine didn't work but there are always stories of it working or they wouldn't bother transferring them. Since you asked for an honest opinion, I would say the odds aren't great but stranger things have happened. Wishing you luck!

There's hope... best of luck.

The embryo fertilized and grew so there's still hope. I've certainly had eggs that either didn't fertilize or once fertilized didn't continue to grow so it looks like your one egg is a fighter. As other posters indicated women have had BFP's from similar circumstances even with supposed lowered odds.

I wish you all the best! Let us know how it goes.

Positive thoughts

You have to think positively, it only takes one egg, at least you got to retrieval! My recent IVF I only had one follie and it was converted to an IUI and now im in the 2WW
