Boing! 747!

When I was away I watched the "metricised" BBC world and one news item during the finance news caught my eye/ear.

They were commenting (amongst other things like the appalling state of Germany) on the American firm "Boeng". They were saying how the company was making a remarkable come-back.

Of course there have been strong gains because of the military side of things but all was looking much better than normal at the company (with talk of their new superliner - the Boeing 7A7(?) ).

For one moment (JUST ONE!) I actually thought about Eric (yeah, I know, on my honeymoon of all places!!). It's not difficult though as he always latches onto anything bad about Boeng.

But then it dawned on me that Eric actually got a kick out of Boeng having troubles and in an absurd fashion blamed it on imperial measures (because as we all know all Airbus planes fly in metres!).

It dawned on me that he actively WILLED boeng to suffer. And thus willed the people who work for Boeing to suffer

Then I took the logical extension of this and realised he wants anything american to fail (note his gloating about maufactured goods and the lie that no american cars are sold in the UK, and the inaccurate currency debate).

Fueled on by his terrible twin he's bared his absolute hatred of America (and also of the UK is more subtle quantities).

And reading the recent multiposts here he seems to have continued his visceral hatred.

Isn't he a nice fellow?

Anyway - just thought you'd like to know that Boeing are doing pretty good right now - with Imperial Measures!
