parking ticket campaignApril 8 2005 at 6:16 AM | db |
| Can anyone help me. I visited this site a couple of weeks ago and used the defence mentioned against a parking ticket. I have now had a letter back from the council saying this is not a valid defence.
I logged back on for further information but i am struggling to find any references to the Crittenden defence. Ca anyone advise me how to procede or if it is best just to pay the fine.
many thanks |

Yes its a ticket issued by Bath and North east somerset Council. they are claiming that
' decriminalisation of parking enforcement commenced febuary 2003 and is regulated under road traffic act 1991 following application to, and approval from the secetary of state.'
They go on to say that they will continue the enforcment of the ticket under the 1991 act. |

Although the parking fine itself has been "decriminalised" it presumably remains an offence not to pay it?
Sounds to me that if you wan't your day in court just sit tight and wait for the summons.
