The naming debate

-
I've lifted this from another post I've made.

It's to clarify the post-names of individuals.

Some people have mixed up two posters, so I thought I'd do the definitive definitions of who is who.

I hope you don't mind, but people HAVE confused the two:

----------------

A very important note to you.

Erin is *NOT* eric (or metre).

eric/metre was the one we all ignored on the "inner boards". Eventually he gave up and "lost" the debate (or "lost the war" in Erin's case).

So just to clarify:

Eric is the same as Metre is the same as Eric - they are one.
He is older than middle-aged and lives in England.

"Erin" is a seperate and different person.
"Erin" Does not post on the "inner boards" as he was banned from them. This "outer board" is public access for writing so he posts his comedy here.
"Erin" has posted as several names in the past. He's posted as Carlyle, Euric, Amertica, Karl Marx (!), HevetS, Anonymous, and many more.
His current name is Erin. So for the purposes of the current timing:-

Erin is *NOT* the same person as Eric.

Yes it can be a little annoying when posters hide behind a multitude of names to try and look like their argument is more popular than it really is.

Erin's real name is "John" (I tracked this down from the USMA listserver, from where he is banned)

Erin is a constant liar. Now that might sound like extreme words from a moderate like myself but let me explain.
He makes his posts from "lifting" other people's ideas and manipulating them (some posts here have ended up "moved" to the USMA listerver site before he was banned). Apart from the obvious lies ("records are metric") there are those that are simply cut-bend-and-paste.

The most obvious lie is when I've asked him where he comes from.

Apparently he's from Australia.

Which is on the east coast of America, according to another time he's answered that question.

I believe that "once a liar...."

I hope that clears up the "name" debate - because its a right royal pain in the a**e sometimes!

[Footnote to BWMA:- I know you don't like the word 'liar' on posts but I honestly can't think of a different word/expression although I have tried and tried, what else can I say?]

Steve, no-one apart from you cares who these posters are.

If they make a sensible point people will reply.

If they post gibberish they will be ignored.

Would you like it if a poster confused me with you?

I was simply pointing out that there are 2 posters where some posters have seen one.

Call it a public service, if you like!

And less of your lip, Bryan! You're not too old for a clip round the ear from your uncle SteveH!

[What am I like?]

"""Call it a public service, if you like!"""

We aren't being served. You waste a lot of bandwidth with your gibberish that nobody reads. Do yourself a favour and go measure some 302 mm records.

"""And less of your lip, Bryan! You're not too old for a clip round the ear from your uncle SteveH!"""

Nor are you too old to get a smack on your bare back-side from your Uncle SteveH either.

"""[What am I like?]"""

Do you really want to know?
