Mr. BWMA where are you?

-
I would like to join the inner board and post there. What are my chances? You can reject me, but all it means is I will clip comments from there and repost them to the open board in order to make my point. Thus wasting your bandwidth. I won't attempt to sign up until I hear from you that you will allow me to enter.

Can I suggest that Multposter not be able to post to the inner boards?

He might end up "ericing" them.

Or at least if you do - please be quick to ban him if he starts turning the friendly inner-boards into an insulting anti-american lie ridden affair that we are used to on the "outer boards".

You are a hypocrite! You complain about political posts that you are opposed to but say nothing of Tony Bennett literally flooding this board with non-metric related political nonsense. If you are going to complain, make sure you mention everyone who is off topic...including yourself!

I think the BWMA moderator would agree with me.

Anyhoo - I've never seen T Bennet as being insultive to anyone.
I'm sure that even Berenger would agree that he's spats with him are of some entertainment value.

There is no value to your diatribes telling us UK people how our economy is, what our records look like, how we run our marathons and what we see in Tesco.
Or when you point out to American posters that their enormous economy and power will come to an end in a fortnight. A perpetual 'fortnight', mind!

You are looking for reactions to insultative behaviour.
And there's only one word for that.

Others will know it.

Only kidding

Steve, Get out o' here (as they say). You love it. You'd get bored if you lost your arch enemy.

OK Steve

Direct question, so response is called for....

Tony can be hilarious. Tony can also be a complete <<censored by BWMA>>

Joke!!!! :-):-):-)

I enjoy our arguments, and like to get one over on him when I can. I'm sure that he would say the same about me.

I would suggest, however, that Tony is more duplicitous than me, I always admit when I am wrong, and do not change the subject when I am losing a debate.........

And I always answer direct questions. Obviously, Tony may to be too busy preparing for power, but.........

"The usual scaremongering. Please Tony, tell us which section of the Weights & Measures Act 1985 makes it illegal to mark "454g/1lb" on a pack of sausages after 1/1/2010"

"Please Tony - point out where either the 1994 or 2001 regulations ban "the sight of the words 'pound' and 'lb.', 'ounce' and 'oz.' in British shops"

2 direct questions - totally ignored as usual. (Tony has contributed to that particular thread since these posts.

SHHHHH!!! Will - you - keep - that - to - yourself! (said with flailing arms moving from up-to down in a sort of fanning motion).

BTW - an "arch enemy" does not need to be diametrically (oops, said 'metric' there) the opposite of oneself so no labelling me a pro-imperial loon y'hear? (as they say). eg. The allies were not commies just coz they were fighting the nazis. Hmmmm, what a great parallel!!! :-D

One has to admit that you are graceful when at a loss (I didn't want to say "graceful loser" there, since that might have different connotations). Maybe that's a Celtic "thing" ;-)

<<<And I always answer direct questions. Obviously, Tony may to be too busy preparing for power, but.........>>>

And that celtic "sense of humour".

<<<"The usual scaremongering. Please Tony, tell us which section of the Weights & Measures Act 1985 makes it illegal to mark "454g/1lb" on a pack of sausages after 1/1/2010">>>

I have more recently changed my opinion of that argument (thanks to you, I think). I don't believe that words will be banned after 2010, although I'm still not too sure of the intent of that directive - it does sound "psuedo-fascist" in intent.

<<<"Please Tony - point out where either the 1994 or 2001 regulations ban "the sight of the words 'pound' and 'lb.', 'ounce' and 'oz.' in British shops"

Alas I cannot and will not answer on behalf of other posters.

Erin: "Yes you will".

(gumph!)
