Following the ongoing Student unrest at UPNG...
      (this a reports from students)

On monday night the Students burnt two security vehicles following clashes between students and security personnel. The security guards radioed Police for back up...and police were deployed to the campus...fighting broke out between police and Students...resulting in 16 students hospitalised and two dead...unconfirmed reports say the two students killed were from Maprik and Highlands (not sure which part of the highlands)

      Last night (Tuesday night)
Gun Battle broke out at the Campus between Police and Students. Some Criminal elements have taken advantage of the situation and have brought in guns. This morning, when the gun battle eased off...students trapped by the situation were seen fleeing from the campus.
