Pregnant woman pack-raped in Lae

A PREGNANT woman and her sister were abducted and pack-raped by some 10 to 15 youths over the weekend in Lae, according to police.

The victims, an 8-month-old pregnant woman and her sister, were at the East Taraka market when the incident took place.

The culprits confronted the victim and her sister and dragged them towards some nearby bushes where they were raped. The victims were later taken to the hospital for a medical examination. No arrests have been made so far. Police are continuing investigations.
In a similar incident, a 20 year-old woman from Finschhafen in the Morobe province was pack-raped by 15 youths at West Taraka.
