Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister, Sir Michael Somare, has described as "unfortunate", the loss of another minister through election dispute court cases.
Communications Minister Ben Semri has lost his Middle Ramu seat after a Court of Disputed Return ruling on Monday.
Sir Michael has announced Agriculture Minister, Moses Maladina, will act in the portfolio.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to Mr Semri, and the former Public Service Minister, Dr Puka Temu, who also lost his seat in a court challenge.
Sir Michael says while it is unfortunate both ministers lost their seats, the judicial system must be respected.
He says he's pleased both Mr Semri and Dr Temu have chosen to appeal their court rulings.
