| New title holder for the 170 weight class. Bobby Baker won his first title belt in the first of five rounds by knock out. It's good to see a few people other than just Johnny Lee and the Triads flourishing. This kid has trained hard and fought even harder. I hope to see him take the title belt in Florence too. Soon though it'll be time to step up to the big leagues and see what he's really made of. |

Winning a title in North Alabama doesn't really mean anything. Everyone and their momma has a title somewhere in one organization or another. There are too many promoters doing these shows. It makes the titles worthless.
Johnny's guys are doing great, but there are others doing great as well. Spartan has some really good guys. Sturgis has some really good guys. There are several schools who are doing much better than Fear None. Having one guy win a title doesn't validate and entire school. |

I guess that way it was read depends on the person, but I never meant for it to sound as if I was validating a whole school for one individuals achievements... but what is this about everyone having a title? I want one, why don't I have one? Do you have one? Surely you must since everyone and their mother has one. |

I don't have one, but I can think of at least 5 promotions that put on shows within 50 miles that give belts.
I've seen some very crappy fighters hold belts in these organizations.
I'm not saying Bobby sucks, I'm just saying that having a belt doesn't prove anything. |

They have a big gold belt at Triad they let the little bitty kids grapple for. I don't know the last kids name that won it, but he's got a belt right now, lol!
Congratulate the guy for winning whatever it was he won, but you don't need to bring another school into your post. You guys know how good Triad is and I heard you might have some video of it from when you invited them to visit. You don't need to stir stuff up with them just because one of your guys won a match. |

In what organization did he win the title? |

Turns out that he won a belt in an organization promoted by his own trainer in a match that was organized by his trainer.
