Response to Re: un commission on status of women...

response noted. Any thoughts on png having a pngn woman as committee member on the Commission? This is different from country representation as sovereign state party to a convention or un organisation. I know that Australia had one of its eminent woman lawyer/jurist, Elizabeth Evett as a committee member of this UN Commission. She may still be a member. Though I am not as close to the calibre of likes of Justice Elisabeth Evett of Australia, I definitely would like a go at being a committee member representing the PaCIFIC WOMEN. HA MAYBE WISHFULL THINKING. What with all priorities of the government of the day is towards greater economic returns and gender equality esp. for women are left as secondary issues.
