I am angered by this incident in Lae around Eriku basketball court. I sympathize with the family who lost this loved one in such a way. It is sickening to see innocent women being dragged away and be raped. I am worrying about my family being a victim of this inhuman behaviours. Can all women in PNG make a stand and protest over this, it has to stop.
I too sympathise with the family of the victim. who gives these people the right to forcefully get what they lust for and in such a manner? These kind of crimes show that our society is a sick one. Women especially thoes of us who reside in the Capital and other major towns have to live each day cautiously and have our movement restricted simply because a few of our men folk have lost sight of respect and empathy for a fellow human being especially for women. we as women can protest over thse issues and hope to be heard and have tougher penalties and less tolerance over these kind of crimes yet it does not solve the root of the problem. most parents today have become ignorant and do not disipline or instill good virtues and show healthy influence for their children to follow. there have been many occasions where i have walked past a child and have been shocked to hear this child utter words that should not be known in such an innocent mind. A child learns what a child is taught and a child grows up to become a grown man or woman who depending on their upbringing will determine their degree of respect and type of contribution to society. our education system needs to also introduce morals and ethics, personal hygeine and even religious education... it is unfortunate that we women bare the brink of all these down falls... even children are just as vulnerable... yes we need to take a stand not just by protesting but also by making sure to raise our children with good values and respect and to not tolerate being battered or emotionally abused by our husbands or boyfriends becuase this teaches our children and encourages the mantality that women are inferior and can be mistreated. Enough is enough..
I one cannot see why women can put so much effort into making themslve attractive but a defenseless in some situation. where there is weakness then there is risk of getting assaulted. Count the potential of being a victim if you are defenceless, you would say but we are woman shouldn't man respect us. I like to believe that but it aint ganna be that way in a society where lawlessness is taking a grip on our lifes, where woman have to walk around a in terror.
Listen, get agrip on the reality and put some effort into defencesive end.
- know some basic key factors of, your enviroment, location, people.

- Know ya survival instincts, if it aint safe do go.
- There a more you just have to do some research.
When your equiped then you are prepared.......be prepared,
Australians under Paul Keating and Kevin Rudd were welcomed to PNG anytime anywhere.......you superhumans under John Coward Howard and Julia Lizallard, with your unilateral racist policies are uninvited into our territories and waters!
The sad truth is that in some of our traditional cultures it was ok to rape women so long as you married them after the rape inorder to "haitim sem blong ol".
This is because some of our ethnic groups used rape to expand their territories. It is possible that this is part of the reason it is so prevalent as these stone age people are thrust into the modern world.
As time goes on and you have a weak justice system, never mind that in the past if someone raped your daughter and you killed that person, there is no retribution, today you go to jail for that. So father's and brother's cannot kill rapists to protect their family and this weakness allows those with a willingness to test the system to do so.
I think our justice system should once more recognise the rights of father's and brother's to protect women and kill the perpetrators. Once our justice system is strong, then you can allow the liberal legal sysem to take over again.
M tingting blo mi tasol.
I really sympathise with the woman who got raped and her entire family for the pain they are going through. If it was me, I would kill the guy and his entire family just to prove a point.
PNG men are gutless cowards who won't pick on someone their own size

The reason why so many PNG men beat up on women is that they're too afraid to fight someone their own size. They're afraid they might be hammered. So they find something more defenceless to pick on, either a woman or maybe even kick a dog or two. Whenever you see a guy who beats on women or is mean to animals you can be assured that deep down they are an incredible coward. They're not real men, they're like scared children inside.
